Following the no fuss and no frills style of his previous singles, 'Trouble Town' and 'Lightning Bolt', the latter of which making Jake Bugg a regular radio airtime fixture, the teenage blues rock purist continues his one-man mission for some straightforward rock ‘n’ roll stimulation with his latest single 'Taste It'.
The title track from his debut EP, which is set to be released in August, is a short and sharp demonstration of Bugg’s raw vocal talents, and his admirable commitment to channelling his timeless influences of Jonny Cash and the early years of The Beatles.
Having performed at Glastonbury last year, Jake Bugg’s touring schedule has become considerably busier this year. With a series of support dates for the likes of Example, Lana Del Rey and Michael Kiwanuka already completed, Jake is heading out on the festival trail this summer, including spots at Reading and Leeds, before headlining his own UK solo tour in November.
You can catch him live at the following dates:
Mon 12 Birmingham HMV Institute
Tue 13 Portsmouth Wedgewood Rooms
Wed 14 London Koko
Thu 15 Bristol Thekla
Sat 17 Manchester Club Academy
Sun 18 Leeds Cockpit
