Louis Vuitton's newest collaboration has this week been revealed as being with Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, known for her iconic red and white polka dot art. Kusama is known for her obsession with polka dots and is currently embarking on a major retrospective that will tour London's Tate Modern before it hits New York's Whitney Museum. Since the fashion house's collaboration with late graffiti artist Stephen Sprouse in 2001 and Takashi Murakami in 2002, fashionistas have been ready and waiting for the next extension to the brand's iconic monogrammed bags.
Kusama's spots will appear on Louis Vuitton products by July, from bags to clothing to jewellery. Although we're not expecting to see this exciting collaboration at Fashion Week shows, a summer launch will delight Louis Vuitton fans worldwide.
