Northumbria University hit Graduate Fashion Week with a boom at Earls Court. The prevailing trends in menswear appeared to be space-age prints a la Christopher Kane, with a nod to British streetwear from mod to hip-hop.
Charlotte Sowerby look
The womenswear was full of colour: prints, 60s colour pop, kitschy logos ( ‘My friend went on holiday and all I got was this lousy t-shirt’), erotic PVC punk, Cleopatra of Egypt embroidery and gold chain dresses. An eclectic bunch of looks and a banging musical soundtrack with the likes of Santogold and MGMT blasting as the models hit the catwalk, the show highlighted each designer's personality to great avail.
