We all remember the story about Heidi, the little girl who grew up under her granddad's care, in beautiful Swiss Alps. The end of the story leaves us with Heidi still as a little girl, so one never does find out what becomes of Heidi when she grows up. Nanna van Blaaderen's More or Less collection, in it's beautiful, simple and organic form could easily be a portrayal of Heidi – except more grown up, elegant and sexy, in that sensual rather than vulgar way. The inspiration by nature is visible and endearing, the designer's choice of off-colour, thick woolen yarns creates a sort of peaceful feel about the designs. The combined techniques of knitting and braiding also add to this collection, transforming it from simple knitwear into almost sculptural pieces, with the soft textures and gentle expressiveness.
