Revolution inspired Sibling's SS13 collection. With their anarchistic disregard for knitwear conventions, trust Joe Bates, Sid Bryan and Cozette McCreery to roll into what had been a sophisticated and gentlemanly London Collections with a theme like this one. So needless to say, it was somewhat expected that Sibling would rebel against the politeness and civility of the showcase.
Well, forget overturning menswear. This was not menswear at all. This was animalwear.
The Sibling collection transformed a human silhouette into that of a beautiful monster. Texture was key to the metamorphosis. Layered white film created a shiny, armadillo-like hide. In true Sibling style, not even the face escaped alteration. Minatour headgear replaced the skin with rabid yarns and netting. And colours were wild too. Interchanging golds, blues, neons, whites and blacks, this creature was a true chameleon.
