I was incredibly flattered when Bunmi Olaye came to visit me last week. Bunmi is
unbelievably talented fashion designer and this is proven by her client list
which includes the First Lady of America – Michelle Obama. Her fashion show for
SS11 was full of passion, art and feminine empowerment. Her collection is the
perfect balance between Africa and British fusion of couture fashion and her fashion show’s opening avant-garde piece has just been requested by Nick Knight. We even used her pieces in our S/S story Birds Of Paradise, which you can see here .
All concepts come from Bunmi; her upbringing has dominated her fashion
ideology and this gives us yet another British designer who has original designs
and that we should be extremely proud of.
