Both prominent stars of their creative field, photographer Rankin and artist Damien Hirst’s collaboration is a sight to behold. Their contemporary portrayal of ancient mythical monsters and characters such as Medusa and a half-woman, half-horse Centaur, is a brave exploration into the realms of fantasy and imagination. Despite being transformed into the grotesque creatures of ancient myth and rabid imagination, model Dani Smith is still seductive through Rankin’s distinctly provocative lens. In carrying fantasy figures from the past into the present, Rankin and Hirst have produced a surreal and spellbinding exhibition. It is a union in which both artists’ defining styles shine through their highly original creation.
