A delicious selection of barbeque classics with a twist will be cooked with the “latest” technology in barbecues - Primo XL, the world’s finest ceramic BBQ. We had the pleasure to meet the one and only Andy Annat, three times British BBQ champion and UK Ambassador for Primo BBQ, who convinced us that you could even bake in these big boys!
The Big Smoke will be located in the stylish garden of Elk Bar, next to Fulham Broadway tube station. Enclosed in an authentic wooden smoke shack, guests can relax on rustic benches, surrounded by exotic plants and bright umbrellas, transporting them to a holiday destination despite living in the country-with-no-summer.
Everyone loves a beer to go with their barbeque so The Big Smoke bar will also be serving a revolutionary selection of beer and tobacco-infused cocktails, three of our favourites were:
1. The Ginger Bread Ale Flip
2. Old Fashioned Made.
3. The Mad Dog - our personal fave! A powerful concoction served in a giant martini glass filled with frozen margarita and two bottles of Corona beer upturned into the glass.
The Big Smoke will be serving up a mouthwatering selection of barbecue dishes including rack of ribs, chicken wings, Peri Peri chicken and pulled pork and a variety of daily specials, one of which is the unusually named Beer Can Chicken. This is a whole chicken stuffed with a half beer can (NO JOKE!), which bathes its insides as it cooks, the result? A super moist meat – worth trying!
And in case you wanted more… For the real carnivores The Big Smoke is bringing their own version of the “Man vs. Food” challenge, compiled of 30 spicy wings, horseradish coleslaw, fries, blue cheese sauce & 3 shots of Chilli Spiked El Jimador Tequila.
